Congleton Car Hire Agreement

All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement that you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This document outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance information, charges, and your responsibilities related to the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

Eligibility Criteria

Renting a vehicle requires:

• To hire a vehicle in Congleton, you must be at least 21 years old, although age limits may differ based on the type of vehicle, with extra fees applicable for drivers under 25. You need a valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle category, held for the minimum duration outlined in the Rental Agreement. Valid identification and proof of your current address are required. Payment information and a security deposit must be provided, along with any other criteria specified in the Rental Agreement.

Booking and Payment Process

• Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or directly at our Congleton office. A booking deposit may be necessary to confirm your reservation. The total payment and a security deposit are generally required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where relevant. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment providers.

4. Collecting and Returning Vehicles

• At the time of vehicle collection in Congleton, please conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be completed and your signature will be required. Upon returning the vehicle, it should be in the same condition as when it was collected, taking into account normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and may incur additional charges. 6. Modifications and Cancellations

Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period given. Please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for precise information. Late cancellations or failure to appear may incur additional charges.

7. Restricted Activities

Prohibited uses of rental vehicles

• Vehicles provided by Car Hire in Congleton must not be used for any illegal activities. This includes racing, off-roading, or other risky actions. Transporting hazardous materials is strictly prohibited. Vehicles cannot be sublet or operated by unauthorized individuals. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is forbidden. The vehicle should only be used for its intended purpose, adhering to passenger and weight limits. Operating outside the agreed geographical boundaries requires prior authorization.

Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.

8. Liability Limitations in Congleton

In accordance with English and Welsh law, Car Hire Congleton will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will be limited to the amount you paid for your rental in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.
